Lions Camp Krokodile
An official activity of Lions 201Q3 and its Member Lions Clubs.
Are you looking for the best camp of your life with access to surf
beaches, local attractions and lots of challenging activities?
So why not join us at Camp Krokodile in 2018.
Lions Camp Krokodile is located on the beautiful Sunshine Coast just 90km north of the Sunshine State's capital of Brisbane. The Currimundi Recreation Centre is situated right beside many kilometres of beautiful sandy surfing beach.
The area has many attractions and the most famous is Australia Zoo known around the world as being created by the Crocodile Hunter, the late Steve Irwin.
There are many shopping centres in close proximity and time should allow for some retail therapy for purchasing of souvenirs for friends and family back home.
The Sunshine Coast has one of the most equitable climates in Australia.
Although the Camp is being held in winter, the days are quite mild with temperatures averaging 22 degrees Celsius.
Winter time in Queensland is the dry time so there should be no rain during your stay in Camp.
The subtropical Sunshine Coast enjoys plenty of sunshine, an average of 7 hours each day, 300 days each year.
Winter — June to August — 5-22°C / 41-72°F
It is important to understand that while the temperatures may be low, the UV index will reach 10, so it is important to wear the appropriate clothing and sun protection.
